The Oak Tree Story
Shaun and I were married in June of 2005. I left the familiarity of my home in Texas to join my new husband in ministry in a small church, in a small town. We wanted to change the world...but the world slapped us in the face! During our first years of marriage and ministry, there were several struggles faced - but never without the grace of God before and behind us. On one particular day, while I was standing in the kitchen of our 900 square-foot starter home (about 10 steps from the church), a word was spoken over our new family. Shaun and I were to be as a mighty oak....strong in unity, and bearing much good fruit. Our home would be a shelter for many "acorns". With my husband being in youth ministry, I immediately thought of our youth group...but I have since discovered a broader picture. We are called to be a representation of our Lord, ministers of His love and grace, a shelter for the hurting and encouragers to the wounded. My hope is to not only provide quality images for your family, but to also be an encourager to you. I want to help you see the amazing grace and beauty that is in these moments of your lives. |
